Jim Barry Lodge Hill Riesling 2022 is a dry, estate-grown white wine produced from 100% Riesling in Clare Valley, South Australia.
The Lodge Hill Vineyard is located on the eastern ranges of Clare at approximately 480 metres above sea level, making it one of the highest vineyard sites in the region. Its elevated position and cooler conditions are especially well suited to producing Riesling with vibrant citrus flavours, natural acidity and a distinctive mineral profile.
This is a precise and refreshing expression of Clare Valley Riesling, combining aromatic fruit with a clean, structured and beautifully focused palate.
Tasting Notes
The nose opens with fragrant aromas of finger lime juice, pink grapefruit, orange blossom and wet slate.
On the palate, sweet grapefruit and mandarin flavours are followed by freshly cut lime and aromatic quince. Bright acidity provides energy and freshness, while a slate-like mineral backbone carries the wine towards a long, citrus-driven finish.
