A Bold Barossa Shiraz with Serious Presence
Teusner Big Jim Shiraz 2021 is a premium Australian red wine made from 100% Shiraz sourced from the famous Stonewell area in Barossa Valley.
Named after the Wark family’s rooster, “Big Jim”, this wine reflects a special low-yielding section of vineyard that produces deeply coloured, concentrated and powerful Shiraz. The 2021 vintage is rich, full-bodied and expressive, yet balanced by fine structure and well-integrated oak.
Matured for 18 months in a mix of 50% new French hogsheads and 50% seasoned oak, Big Jim delivers impressive depth, spice and ageing potential.
Tasting Notes
Deep and almost black in the glass.
The nose is lifted and intense, with concentrated dark berries, blue fruit, black pepper, clove, anise, lilac and mineral undertones.
On the palate, it is rich, powerful and structured, with generous Shiraz fruit supported by classy oak and fine tannins. The finish is long, bold and elegant, showing both Barossa richness and serious ageing potential.
